The Rivers State Ministry of Health has called on residents of the state to prioritize blood pressure screening to reduce the risk of hypertension.
Commissioner for Health, Adaeze Oreh made the call in a statement in commemoration of this year’s World Hypertension Day tagged; Measure Your Blood Pressure Adequately, Control it and Live Longer.
She said regular screening will help to reduce the risk of hypertension for a longer life.
She also called for regular exercise, eating balanced diet, reducing alcohol intake among others.
