The Rivers State Government has approved user fee waver for persons living with HIV/AIDS in the state
The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike disclosed this in a statement to mark this year’s World Aids Day in Port Harcourt today.
He said the government has equally approved payment for antenatal care for HIV positive pregnant women in the state.
Prof. Chike furthermore noted that necessary steps are been taken to strengthen healthcare in the state inorder to meet best international practise.
