The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) says it has commenced sensitisation of electorates for the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
Chairman of the commission, Rtd Justice George Omereji made this known in Ikwerre LGA, during a sensitisation meeting with RISEC and political parties in the area yesterday.
He said the essence of the sensitisation programme is to educate electorates across the 23 LGAs of the state, on the elections so they can come out and exercise their franchise.
