Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State says a Police Station will be built opposite the Etche campus of the Rivers State University to provide security for the institution.
Wike who stated this during the flag off ceremony for the construction of the Etche Campus in Agbara town on Tuesday, said 40 plots of land will be acquired for the project.
The Governor, stated that the projects will not be abandoned, as they will be commissioned in May 2022.
He said funds needed for the completion of the legacy project have been released to the university.
Wike called on the leadership of the institution to release funds to the contractors and ensure strict supervision of the projects, adding that substandard jobs will not be accepted.
“We want quality job because we are known for quality projects. From now till May 2022, economy activities will increase here, so, please, Etche people, try and support the contractors to make sure they finish this job,” he says
“Now, we are going to commission Odofur road, but with how many votes, mere seven thousand votes? You need something but you won’t come out and give the votes,” he added.
He urged Etche people not be indecisive in their resolve to pitch tent with the PDP, and deliver more votes to the party that brought development to them.
