Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, has threatened to block the road leading to the headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, in Port Harcourt, if it fails to pay its N2.5 billion counterpart fund for the construction of the Eastern Bye Pass road.
Wike, said this during the commissioning of the Police Special Protection Unit in Omagwa, Rivers State, Today.
According to him, the commission has not fulfilled any of its promises, adding that the road is almost 35 percent gone.
He stated that the NDDC, has become cash cow for politicians, to siphon money.
He regretted why the commissioning of the project took so much time and promised to always support the Police.
