Chairman of the Rivers State Ethnic Youth Leaders Coalition, Comrade Legbosi Yamaabana who had threatened to lead a protest against Construction Company, Julius Berger says Governor Nyesom Wike has threatened to kill him.
Yamaabana, in a statement today alleged that Wike issued the threat when the state Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday led him and his group to visit him at Government House, for possible resolution of the matter.
He said Wike in the presence of the Commissioner of Police, and Director of the DSS, threatened to kill him or anyone that dares stage a protest against Julius Berger in the state.
He also alleged that the Governor, swore to defend the Construction Company, with the last drop of his blood and that no one can ask the company of any Corporate Social Responsibility.
“The Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP, Eboka Friday invited us for talks, and thereafter asked us to go with him to see the Governor of Rivers State, where we met with Gov. Nyesom Wike who threatened to kill us and whoever/any group that protest against Julius Berger Nigeria Plc,” he said.
“The Governor said this, in the presence of the Commissioner of Police and the Director of DSS. He said, “he will defend julius berger to the last drop of his blood and nobody can ask the company of Corporate Social Responsibilty (CSR) or local content empowerment…” he added.
