Former Rivers Federal Lawmaker and ally to Governor, Nyesom Wike, Sen. Lee Maeba has alleged that Wike had told him that he would collapse the People’s Democratic Party if he failed to clinch its Presidential ticket.
Maeba, in a chat with journalists Today, said Wike also threatened to collapse all structures of the party, as they cannot do to him what they did to former Governor of the State, Peter Odili.
According to him, in 2007 when Odili lost the ticket of the party despite being more qualified, hlhe felt bad, but did not fight anybody and went ahead to congratulate the winner.
He also said when he lost the Vice Presidential slot to Goodluck Jonathan, he accepted it and even welcomed Jonathan to Port Harcourt, three days after, in the spirit of sportsmanship.
He also revealed that Gov. Wike humiliated him, former Governor of the state; Sir. Celestine Omehia and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives; Austin Opara.
He questioned the morale Wike has to cover up injustice, adding that he would speak at the appropriate time.
