Rivers state governor, Barr, Nyesom Wike says he will provide logistics and support for presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi when he comes to campaign in the state for honouring his invitation to commission projects.
Wike said this during the commissioning of the Nkpolu-Oroworoko flyover in Port Harcourt on Thursday by the former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi.
The Rivers state governor described Obi as a humble man who possess all the qualities nd characteristics needed to govern the nation and urged him to forge ahead with his campaigns not minding what anyone says or thinks in his home state and the country at large.
He urged Obi to continue to preach his message of unity, describing him as a man of integrity unlike some leaders who speak from both sides of their mouth and cannot honor their words.
He also commended Obi for transforming Anambra state when he was governor, adding that it was important for people to deliver when given the opportunity serve.
Wike also advised Obi not to waste his money on any Labour party candidate in Rivers state, as none of them will win. He urged Obi to focus on his own campaign, and wished him well.
