The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a 14-day ultimatum to property owners who converted their land use without official approval to pay a N5 million violation fee.
Senior Special Assistant to the Minister, Lere Olayinka, made this known in a statement.
He cautioned that failure to comply within the stipulated period will attract enforcement measures from the FCT Administration.
According to the directive, the grace period begins on November 11, 2025, during which affected owners are expected to visit the Department of Land Administration with their title documents and valid identification to regularise their land use. They will also be required to obtain updated titles valid for a fresh 99-year term.
