The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, has berated Governor Nyesom Wike over his failure to pay teachers of demonstration schools in the state, their five years salaries.
Chairman of RIVCSO, Enefaa Georgewill in a statement on Wednesday, said Gov. Wike has lost the moral right to criticize the All Progressives Congress, led Federal Government.
He described the Governor’s act as hypocrisy while stating that it is disheartening that the state government, has refused to pay teachers who are at the forefront of raising future leaders of the society.
“PayTeachersSalary Gov. Wike Have Lost The Moral Right To Call Out Buhari & The APC. Hypocrisy!” he said.
Teachers of Demonstration Schools, yesterday, staged a protest at Government House, demanding their over five years unpaid salaries.
Some of the teachers in a chat with news correspondents, said the failure of the government to pay them, has led to the death of so many of their colleagues.
