Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has announced that he will reward the people of Rumuigbo in Obio Akpor LGA, with the sum of N5 million. This is for complying with his lockdown directive.
Gov Wike who made this known during a broadcast today, hailed the community for their level of compliance and pro-activeness during this lockdown.
The governor specially commended the community’s security committee for intercepting trucks carrying over 50 persons into the state. He reiterated that all those arrested in violation of the lockdown order will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
Wike also expressed appreciation to Rivers people for complying with the state government’s directives. He furthermore, thanked well meaning rivers people for their support in curbing the spread of the virus in the state.
