Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has revealed the reason behind the recent gale of defections rocking the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State.
Speaking, in Port Harcourt on Monday, Wike said that people are leaving the APC due to the poor leadership style of former Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi.
He revealed that the PDP has taken almost everyone in the APC and that there is nobody left in Amaechi’s party anymore.
He stated that Amaechi as a senior Minister for over seven years attracted no development to Rivers State, as he was only interested in doing business with rail line contractors.
Wike stated that as a junior minister, he brought Faculty of law to the University of Port Harcourt, renovated many schools in the state amongst other achievements.
He challenged Amaechi to tell Rivers people what he did while in office, describing him as a failure.
The Rivers Governor, stated that Amaechi must be prosecuted for siphoning resources of the state while he held sway as governor, insisting that nothing will stop it.
He said even if he leaves office, the trial will go on, as the next administration will ensure it goes on.
