Former Rivers State governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said he has been subjected to verbal attacks by supporters of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, but has chosen not to respond in the interest of peace.
Amaechi made the remarks on Friday during a town hall meeting held in Lagos, organised by his supporters under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) progressive movement.
He noted that despite the criticisms and insults directed at him, he remains committed to fostering unity and avoiding unnecessary conflict.
