Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubor has accused Governor, Nyesom Wike of manipulating Saturday’s presidential election results in the state.
Itubo, in a statement yesterday, said the state governor sent thugs to move adhoc staff to unknown destinations to rewrite the results.
She also said after voting, many of the BVAS machines could no longer function to upload results and that codes for the machines were not released for results to be uploaded.
Itubo, called on INEC chairman, Mahmod Yakubu to suspend the ongoing collation of results until proper investigation is conducted.
She urged the INEC boss not to accept results from Rivers State as they have been manipated.
In the same vein, chairman of the Labour party in Rivers State, Reuben Favour has threatened to mobilize party faithfuls and Rivers people to occupy the streets and INEC office if results of saturday’s elections are changed.
He accused Wike of manipulating the results, adding that they will resist plots to change the results with everything at its disposal.
