Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have vowed to end the dreaded coronavirus, corruption, crime, and insecurity this year.
Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Baguda disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
He said the Governor’s have all agreed to put in place, programmes and policies that will bring to an end, some of the challenges bedeviling the nation.
“We appeal to all Nigerians to continue to support our security forces in the effort to end insecurity in the country. As Progressive Governors, we will continue to support the Federal Government and the security services,” he said.
“We restate our commitment to make our states models of good governance with rapid human development and progress founded on the principles of social democracy in line with provisions of our party constitution and manifesto.”
“In 2021, we shall continue to take all the necessary steps to roll out programmes that will consolidate development of synergy, experience sharing and collaboration by all progressive states,” he stated.
Baguda who also noted that security requires national unity, commended President Buhari for his determination to end some of the challenges confronting the nation.
