Protesting Commercial drivers along the NTA/Ozuoba Road, in Port Harcourt, says they need Governor Nyesom Wike to address them before they can call off their ongoing protest.
They disclosed this in a chat with Journalists during the protest yesterday.
The drivers on Wednesday, blocked a section of the Ozuoba Road, over the killing of one of their colleagues by an official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC on Tuesday.
They called on the State Government to intervene on the matter, so as to ensure prosecution of the alleged killer.
The drivers, accused Security agencies of trying to hide the identity of the NSCDC Official in a bid to shield him from prosecution.
A commercial driver identified as “Biggie” was on Tuesday shot dead by an official of the NSCDC, attached to the Rivers State Taskforce on Street Trading and Illegal Motor Park.
