•••As He Recieves The People Of Rumuogba

Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon Barr George Ariolu DSSRS has said that his administration has changed the narrative of governance in the Local Government Area.

Ariolu disclosed this when Chiefs, Elders, Women and youths of Rumuogba Community led by HRH Eze Temple Ejekwu; Eze Iji nu Ede paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman at the Council Headquarters on Thursday 14th September, 2023

“The narrative before I became the chairman was that an Evo man, when given this opportunity cannot deliver but by God’s special grace, we have come to change that narrative. To let people know that good things can come out of Local Government Administration for the benefit of the people. Thanks be to God that we can beat our chest to say that we have achieved the purpose for which our people sent us here .”

Barr George Ariolu thanked Eze Temple Ejekwu for the relative peace in Rumuogba community and urged him to continue to promote peace in all parts of the community.

“For those that are not aware, Rumuogba is like a second home to me, in all dimensions Eze Temple Ejekwu is like a political master to me. Once again I thank you for mobilising your people to pay us this courtesy visit.”

“Let me also thank you for the peace that is prevalent in Rumuogba kingdom. I want to plead with you your Highness that there is the need to expand your program of peace, unity and development to everybody. You are not just the community Paramount Ruler but you are a Government recognized Traditional ruler and the purpose of your position is to bring about peace and development of Rumuogba.”

He further warned the youths against idleness and encouraged them to learn skills that would enable them to be productive to their immediate family, the Local Government area and the society at large.

On His Part, HRH Eze Temple Ejekwu commended the Chairman for his administration’s tremendous project delivery across the Local Government and promised to support the Chairman in all his future endeavours .

“Mr Chairman our visit is very simple. It is practically a thank you visit. A Thank you visit in the sense that we thought it wise to involve some of our sons in Rumuogba to work as your aides. We also want to thank you for the developmental strides in Obio/Akpor. Since you took over office we have been seeing all you have been doing both in Infrastructure and human capacity development.”

“On the same note, we are going to support you and stand behind you because you have exceeded all our expectations. It is not only Rumuogba people that are seeing what you’re doing, the good people of Obio/Akpor are seeing what you’re doing, the people of Rivers State are seeing what you’re doing because you are doing extremely well. Continue to work very hard for the people, More feathers to your cap.”
