Chairman of Emuoha Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chidi Lloyd says they are denying themselves personal benefits to ensure development of the council.
Lloyd, stated this during the inspection of ongoing projects across the council with members of the legislative arm, yesterday.
He said his administration has made deliberate efforts to reposition the LGA, adding that it is already yielding positive result within his few months in office.
“We have denied ourselves personal benefits to ensure that we reposition Emohua local government area. I thank those working with me for making sacrifices for the development of our local government area,” he said.
“We can not do otherwise because we were elected to do what we are doing and our best is what we will continue to do to rewrite the story of our local government area,” he added.
He noted that his administration was able to embark on critical infrastructural projects across the local government area out of the recoveries made from over payment of salary and other irregularities intercepted in the nominal roll of the council on assumption of office.
