Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike has denied claims that he led some Ikwerre women to demolished Iloabuchi Waterfront claiming that the land belongs to them.
Chairman of the demolished Waterfront, Belema Bestman Dappa in a statement today, alleged that Nwanosike few days ago led women to the area, and claimed that they own the land.
Dappa called on the Rivers State Government to call the council boss to order, noting that the matter is in court.
Reacting to the claims today, Nwanosike said he never led women to the area as alleged.
According to him, he only escorted the Mayor of Port Harcourt and some other persons to the area.
The Ikwerre Council boss, also said that he never addressed the press, and also denied allegations that the governor never gave residents time to vacate the place.
