Violence: Abe, Others Should Be made to Sign Understanding – Topba

National Coordinator of Conscience of Ogoni People (COP), Gani Topba, has alleged that some politicians were planning to mobilize youths to carry out violence during the forthcoming elections.

Topba who made this known in a statement advised youths not to be used by politicians to carry out violence during the polls.

According to him, political candidates in Ogoniland, including Abe, should be made to sign an undertaking not to sponsor violence during the election.

He stated that anyone caught sponsoring or carrying out violence no matter how highly placed should be arrested and prosecuted.

He urged politicians to allow the Ogonis vote in a peaceful and conducive environment.
