A report says hoodlums attempted to steal a device that controls street lights at the Ikoku flyover in Mile 1 Diobu, Port Harcourt yesterday.
Popular Rivers journalist, Allwell Ene who disclosed this in a statement Today, said local vigilante in the area stopped them from doing so.
According to him, the lights were not working so the thieves seized the opportunity to steal them.
“Ikowu flyover street lights. Hoodlums attempted to steal device. Crime averted by vigilante group,” he said.
“Reports revealed that the State lights were not working….. hence the thieves seized the darkness to make their moves,” he added.
