The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has approved its academic calendar for the 2026/2027 session for full-time and sandwich programmes.
According to the approved calendar, full-time students are expected to arrive on campus on Sunday, November 1, 2026, while registration will begin on Monday, November 2.
Lectures for the first semester are scheduled to commence on Monday, November 9, 2026, with the Christmas break running from Monday, December 21, 2026, to Sunday, January 3, 2027.
The matriculation ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, 2027, while first-semester examinations will hold from Monday, March 1, to Thursday, March 25, 2027.
For the second semester, students are expected to resume on Sunday, April 11, 2027, with lectures beginning the following day, Monday, April 12.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) Week is scheduled for Monday, July 5, to Saturday, July 10, 2027.
Second-semester examinations will commence on Monday, July 19, and end on Friday, August 13, 2027.
The calendar further indicates that the long vacation will run from Monday, August 16, to Friday, September 3, 2027.
