The Management of Uniport has described the killing of a female student – Justina Nkang by her boyfriend, Okoli Damian – a Petrochemical Engineering student of the institution as “embarrassing.’
Dean of Students Affairs – Prof. Chima Nwokocha in a statement today said the school will not rest until justice is served.
According to him, Vice Chancellor of the institution is worried over the incident and has urged the Police to properly investigate and unravel the circumstances behind her death.
He stated that no student has the right to take the life of another student, or even go physical with his fellow student as the punishment is outright expulsion.
He also said the institution is doing her best to ensure the safety of students.
