The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the death of two persons identified as Gbenenee Tornuomi and Gbenegbara Nwineebee at Boue and Yeghe communities in Khana Local Government Area.
Divisional Police Officer of Bori Police Station, SP Bako Angbashim in a statement said the victims were killed by unknown gunmen over land dispute.
He disclosed that the two communities have been fighting over a piece of land about to be hired by Shell.
The DPO, stated that security have been beefed up in the area, as normalcy have returned.
Meanwhile, A member of Boue community, God’spower Ipianeh debunked Angbashim’s claim, stating that there is no land dispute between both communities.
