Micro-blogging platform Twitter says it is working to restore access to the platform for Nigerians to communicate and connect with the world.
The social media giant disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, following its suspension by the Nigerian government.
Twitter stated that it is deeply concerned by the development, adding that open internet is an essential human right in the society.
The Federal government had announced the suspension of the platform on Friday.
This was after it deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s civil war tweet, adding that it violates its policy.
