The three-day training for Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff and members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving as ad-hoc staff—specifically Presiding and Assistant Presiding Officers—for the Ahoada-East II and Khana II State Constituencies bye-elections concluded on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

The training, which focused on preparing electoral personnel for their critical roles during the bye-elections, aimed to ensure a smooth, credible, and transparent voting process in the two constituencies.

INEC officials emphasized the importance of adherence to electoral guidelines, accurate collation of results, and professional conduct throughout the election period. NYSC members participating in the training were also briefed on their responsibilities in supporting the commission during the voting and result collation exercises.

The bye-elections are expected to take place in the coming weeks, with trained personnel ready to facilitate a seamless electoral process.
