The Rivers APC gubernatorial standard bearer, His Excellency, Pastor Tonye Cole Patrick mni has charged the people of Etche local government to area, Rivers State, to vote APC so as to get government power over and above momentary monetary offers.

Pastor Cole made the appeal, yesterday, while addressing an unprecedented crowd of supporters during the official flag-off of the Rivers APC gubernatorial election and door2door campaigns in Etche local government area, Rivers State.

The 2023 Rivers APC Guber Candidate who attended the rally in company of his wife, Dr Mrs Sylvia Aneke Cole , charged Etche people to de-emphasize money politics, but prioritize efforts towards attainment of political power through their votes, as according to him, political power is only instrument that can affer them more benefits above what momentary monetary offers can afford.

“There are two things on offer, two things they are offering you in Rivers State today; there is power, and there is money. That’s what is on offer”.

“We are offering power, when you have power, you can get money, when you have money, you can now have other things. Between money and power, which one will you take?… Power!”

Tonye Cole told Etche people not to mortgage the future of their children through selling of their votes, rather they should vote the APC to chose power in order to gain access to electricity, quality education, wealth creation and improvement in agriculture entrepreneurship.

“This election is about power, its about money. One party has money, the other one has power. God has given us in APC power, but you have to choose”.

“When power is in your hands, poverty will go, when power is in your hands, your children will go to school, when power is in your hands, your children will get scholarships for university education home and abroad, power is in your hands, education is in your hands, when power is in your hands, your agriculture will grow and you will process your produce for export and you will earn foreign exchange”.

“Some places dey for Etche where there is no electricity, because you no get power. When you not get power, you no go get light, but when power dey your hand, you will have light. Power dey your hand”.

Before moving his train to address the Etche mega rally at Okomoko, Architect Tonye Patrick Cole had earlier embacked on door2door campaigns to traders at the popular Igboh Etche market, Chokocho market and on streets in the local government area.

Earlier, Pastor Tonye Cole had paid homage to Chief Precious Dike, the Ochimba of Okwukabi in council and to the palace of His Royal Highnes, Eze Okechukwu Nweke, the Onyishi Ala Chokota of Igboh kingdom and the traditional institutions in the area.

The rally featured presentation of APC flags to the Senatorial Candidate for Rivers East, Dr Ndubuisi Nwankwo, the house of representatives candidate for Etche/Omuma federal Constituency, Hon Ephraim Nwuzi, the state assembly candidate for Etche Constituency 1, Hon Uzordinma Nwafor and Etche state Constituency 2 candidate, Hon Charles Anyanwu.
