The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed that Chief Tony Okocha remains the duly recognised Chairman of its Rivers State chapter, dismissing recent media reports suggesting otherwise.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the claims by Mr. Emeka Beke to the position as false and misleading.

Morka urged party members and the public to disregard the reports, maintaining that Okocha continues to serve as the legitimate state chairman of the party.

Meanwhile, the Emeka Beke-led faction has slammed Morka over the comment, accusing him of disobeying a valid court order which recognised Beke as the authentic Chairman of the party in the state.
