A Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt, has sentenced three persons to 24 years imprisonment for stealing and selling a two-year old baby for N350,000 few years ago in Port Harcourt.
Magistrate Amaka Amanze delivered judgement on the matter on Monday.
This was after the suspects, Goodness George, Sunday Johnson and Imasen were found guilty of stealing one Etim Gospel at the Kom Kom axis of Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State in 2018.
One of the three suspects had already died in prison custody.
Meanwhile the International Federation of Woman Lawyers in the state has hailed the judgement.
