The Federal Government of Nigeria, says it is now legal to audit lifestyles of Nigerians. It said those who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford, can now be investigated.
Social Media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie disclosed this in a tweet on Monday.
She said such persons no matter who they are, can be invited by any of the graft agencies to produce evidence of the source of their wealth.
“Lifestyle Audit is now legal in Nigeria. Those who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford, can now be investigated by any of the graft agencies to produce evidence of the sources of their wealth You can now be called upon to explain how you acquired certain properties.” She tweeted.
Meanwhile, reactions have continued to trail her comment. While some Nigerians have criticized the move, others have hailed it.
