The Rivers State Government says those saying development is only been concentrated in Port Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas, are playing politics.
Governor Wike who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Emeka Woke made this known during the final rally of the PDP in PHALGA, on Tuesday.
The Governor, said he will leave office with his head high, as he has carried out numerous projects across the entire 23 LGAs of the state.
Wike urged the Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates of the party, in Saturday’s local government election, to keep to their campaign promises and work for the people of their areas.
Emeka Woke on his part, said the incoming LG chairmen, will have no reason not to perform, as the state government does not touch funds meant for local government areas.
He also said the Wike led administration, will cotinue to support security agencies in the state to ensure adequate security of lives and properties.
