The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers state, says those who are in court challenging its victory in the various elective positions in the state will fail because they campaigned round the state and won.
Deputy Chairman of the PDP, Chukwuemeka Aaron, said this during a biweekly prayer and worship session tagged “One hour with Jesus at the party secretariat in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
He also said the FCT Minister – Nyesom Wike will not dump the party contrary to speculations in some quarters.
He urged party members to remain steadfast and ignore the lies being peddled by enemies of the state and the party about the former governor.
Part of his statement reads
“I want to tell our people to remain steadfast because to say that our leader, Nyesom Wike is leaving PDP is not true. Nyesom Wike is not leaving PDP. If anybody tells you that tell them that it is not true.
“Rivers State is PDP and will remain PDP. The governor of Rivers state is PDP, the 3 Senators are PDP. Out of the 13 House of Reps members, 11 are PDP. The State House of Assembly members are all PDP. So we are not going anywhere”,
“The prayers from this altar is working wonders for the party. Most of the judgements that were delivered were in our favour. We believe that the remaining ones will also be in our favour because we won the elections. The elections were free and fair.
“Those who went to court to challenge our victory will all fall because we campaigned, went round the whole LGAs and when the election came PDP won.
