The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), says until its ongoing negotiations with the organized labour is completed, there will be no increase in the pump price of petroleum motor spirit, popularly known as petrol.
Kennie Obateru, group general manager, group public affairs division of NNPC, made this known in a statement on Friday.
Obateru said the commission is committed to energy security, as he warned marketers to desist from hoarding petrol and arbitrary price increase.
He said despite the fact that the Commission, currently bears the burden of petrol subsidy, the current price will be maintained at N162.
He warned residents against panic buying of petroleum products, stating that there are enough petroleum products in its depots across the country to serve residents.
