The Rivers State Government says it is committed to ensuring health security for residents of the state, in promoting good health and mitigating adverse health effects.
Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike disclosed this in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt, in commemoration of World Health Day, today.
He called on Rivers people to support the government, as they are committed to ensuring quality healthcare for residents of the state.
He said the government must continue to carryout awareness on why residents must guard the health centres built by the state government, so as to ensure quality healthcare delivery in the state.
Prof. Chike also advised residents to go for regular medical check-up, stating that early detection is key to treating ailments.
He furthermore, called on residents to take the COVID-19 vaccines and obey all directives of the government.
