PORT HARCOURT CITY LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Press Release
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Honourable Ezebunwo Ichemati has abolished the payment for the Port Harcourt City Local Government identification letter.
The Mayor said the collection of the LGA’s identification letter is free of charge under his administration and advised those who are indigenes of Port Harcourt and need her identification letter to apply to the council and report anyone who demands money from them to his office for immediate punitive action against the person.
He said his administration being fully aware of the economic hardship faced by Nigerians, which the people of Port Harcourt are part of, would not worsen their economic burden but, rather, ameliorate them as evident in his administration’s unprecedented empowerment programme to cushion the hardship faced by the people.
He called on the people to continue to support his administration and the administration of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, because they mean well for the people and will not rest on their oars, but continue to work to see that the lives of the people are made better and easier.
