Chairman of Labour Party in Rivers State, Prince Favour Reuben, has reacted to a statement by Governor Nyesom Wike that a state wide lockdown may be re-imposed if the spike in covid-19 cases continue.
Reuben, in a statement on Tuesday, said the governor should not think of imposing another lockdown in the state, as the last one yielded no result.
He said politicians only took advantage of the process to loot palliatives meant for residents to enrich themselves.
Reuben, noted that lockdown is not the answer to the covid-19 pandemic as it bings about more untold hardship on the people of the state.
“Dont think of imposing any lockdown….The one you imposed before nothing came out… only for politicians to loot palliatives,” he said.
