The federal house of representatives has said that over two billion naira meant for tertiary institutions in the state from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund was yet to be accessed by the state government.
Chairman of the House committee on TETFUND Miriam Odinaka Onuoha, disclosed this yesterday when she led members of her committee to the Rivers State Government House on a visit
She said the sum accrued from 2020 to 2024 amounting to N2.2billion
She advised the state government to ensure it accesses the fund so as to solve prevailing critical problems in those targeted institutions.
Governor Fubara while responding assured that the state would do all it takes to access the funds and put them to good use for schools in Rivers State.
