The attention of the 8th Tai Legislative Assembly has been drawn to a malicious publication on social media where it was alleged that the Honourable Councillors of Wards 5 and 6 were summoned to a JuJu shrine by the leader of the Assembly, Rt. Hon Ken Levi.
Ordinarily, the Legislative Assembly would not have responded to such an innuendo orchestrated by mischief makers but for the sake of the reading public whom may have been deceived.
The house has have decided to categorically state as follows:
That the publication is false in its entirety, baseless and unfounded.
That the publication of a fake document purported to be a juju summons is a failed malicious attempt by deluded political jobbers aimed at bringing the Legislative Assembly to disrepute and public ridicule.
That the 8th Tai Legislative Assembly is United, strong and focused on the legislative assignment entrusted to them and very supportive of the patriotic efforts of the performing Executive arm towards discharging democratic dividends to Tai people.
That the 2021 supplementary budget already in the Legislative Assembly is not and has never been an issue of contention in the legislative Assembly rather it is awaiting smooth passage after a diligent Legislative process.
That the Assembly, fully aware of the huge responsibility entrusted to the PDP led government in the LGA, is committed to ensuring that with the Executive, Tai will continue to enjoy massive human and infrastructural development and would not allow itself to be distracted by jobless politicians.
The general public is therefore advised to discountenance, disregard, jettison and distance itself from any information or publication of crisis or JuJu summon peddled by agents of confusion as everything said, written or printed in that regard is untrue and not the making of the Honourable Councillors.
