Ahead of the impending 2023 flood as forecasted by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), the chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd is calling on residents of the area, particularly Agba- Ndele; Rumuekpe, Elele-Alimini and Akpabu communities to embark on regular cleaning of their immediate environment, including drainages and waterways in their respective communities to reduce the effect of the imminent flood in the area.
Property owners and business operatives across Emohua LGA are advised to carry out regular cleaning and desilting of drainages close to their properties and business environment as a mitigation strategy.
Failure to comply will attract the full weight of relevant Laws.
Community Leaders are therefore directed to ensure maximum compliance in their respective communities.
