In furtherance of the postgraduate education intervention by the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Victor Oko-Jumbo, the Oko-Jumbo Education Committee has released the criteria for the award of 500,000 and 200,000 naira support grant to 12 deserving Masters and 6 PhD students.
The students are to be in Nigerian Public Universities, on full-time study and should have gone beyond the first year of their respective programs of study. Other criteria are listed below, thus;
1. Must be pursuing full-time Ph.D or M. Sc program
2. Must present valid admission letter
3. Must be of Bonny origin
4. Must present valid Bonny Local Government Identification Letter
5. Must have CGPA of 3.5 and above
6. Must be a Bonny resident voter with attached evidence of current voter’s card
7. Must be a student in a public university within Rivers State.
8. Must present a valid receipt of previous school fees.
9. Must present a letter of attestation from HOD, with current CGPA duly signed and stamped.
