Six Persons Killed in Khana LGA, By Unknown Gunmen

Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed six persons in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, few days after two persons were murdered in cold blood. 

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area, SP Bako Angbashim who confirmed the incident to news correspondents, said normalcy has returned to the community.

The Community Development Chairman of Uegwere community, where the incident occurred Adoobe Mirror, also confirmed the incident to Journalists.

Adoobe said he was in church when he started hearing gun shots and had to call the Bori, Divisional Police Officer, SP Angbashim.

He said the assailants invaded the community, and drove straight to where some persons were holding a meeting, opened fire on them and killed six.

“I don’t understand the reason behind this wanton waste of human lives by the killers because my community has been known for peace,” he said.

“These gunmen invaded my community, went straight to were six persons from my community were holding a meeting and shot all of them dead,” he added.
