Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Rivers State Chapter has commiserated with the people and Governor of the State, Nyesom Wike over the death of his Assistant, Simeon Nwakaudu.
Nwakaudu was the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media. Simeon died yesterday after a brief illness at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
ALGON in a statement signed by its spokesperson and Chairman of Ahoada West LGA. Hope Ikiriko described the deceased as a committed believer in the New Rivers Vision. He was a responsible gentleman who was dedicated to his job, Ikiriko stated.
Chairman of ALGON and Mayor of Port Harcourt, Victor Ihunwo in the statement said, they received the news with shock and sadness. He equally stated that the sudden demise of Nwakaudu is a big loss to the Association and the government of the state. He prayed God to grant the governor and family of the deceased the heart to bear the loss.
Meanwhile, stakeholders have continued to express shock over the sudden demise of Simeon Nwakaudu.
