Napoli forward Victor Osimhen on Tuesday injured his right ankle in training and was forced to withdraw after colliding with new signing, Natan.
The club in statement on its official website said Osimhen left training prematurely due to a sprain to his right ankle.
Sources say the Nigerian international was visibly pained as he limped off the pitch with an ice pack applied to his ankle.
The 2023/24 Serie A season kicks off on August 19 2023.
