The Rivers State Waste Management Agency(RIWAMA) says it has commenced a refuse evacuation intervention across various locations in the state as part of its renewed efforts to tackle lingering sanitation challenges.
In a statement posted on its social media handle, the agency said it is intensifying actions to address waste accumulation across the city and improve environmental cleanliness.
RIWAMA called on residents to actively support sanitation efforts by reporting unattended waste in their communities.
The agency asked the public to send clear pictures of uncollected refuse around their areas via WhatsApp only to 08028339992, as part of measures to improve environmental cleanliness.
RIWAMA says the initiative is aimed at strengthening waste monitoring and ensuring prompt evacuation of refuse across the state.
