The seven ministerial nominees sent to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari were Today, screened and confirmed.
The President, had in accordance with the provisions of Section 147 subsection 2 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, sent names of the nominees to the Senate.
Three of the nominees, Goodluck Nana Opiah (Imo), Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub (Kano) and Ademola Adewole Adegoroye (Ondo), were not screened due to their legislative background.
Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh (Abia State); Umana Okon Umana (Akwa Ibom State); Ekumankama Joseph Nkama (Ebonyi State); and Odum Odi (Rivers State), were drilled with questions by the senators.
The Senate, after the screening confirmed and congratulated the ministerial designates on their confirmation.
