The Nigerian Senate has described as ‘failure” the Federal Government’s inability to draw a plan on how to purchase and distribute the COVID-19 vaccines to its citizens.
The Senate in a statement today said it is worrisome that the government is yet to come up with plans on how to purchase and distribute the vaccines to its citizens.
This according to them is despite the fact that other countries of the world are making arrangements to procure the vaccines.
The red chamber in a bid to ensure that the government procures the vaccine for its people, directed its Committee on Health and Primary Health Care to Invite the Federal Ministry of Health, Federal Ministry of Finance and other relevant agencies.
This, according to them is to present to the house its details on how to make available the COVID-19 vaccine in the country.
