Security men at Community Secondary School, Mgbuoshimini in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, says they have not been paid salaries for over a year now.
The officials, in a chat with journalists after locking the entrance of the school yesterday, threatened to completely shut down the school today, if the relevant authorities fail to comply.
One of them, Chijioke Chukwu said they took the action to draw the attention of the community and the government to their plights.
He said the school was reopened, after some teachers intervened and promised to address the matter.
He stated that if they fail to pay them today, the school will be completely shutdown until they receive their monies.
Chijioke said they were receiving salaries until 12 months ago, when it stopped due to the fact that the government were no longer giving impress to the school as claimed by the management.
