Super Eagles and Bordeaux forward, Samuel Kalu has tested positive for coronavirus. This is coming days after his Super Eagles teammate, Paul Onuachu tested positive for the virus.
Kalu’s club had announced that one of its players had tested positive for the virus and has been in quarantine without revealing the players identity. But according to the AFP, the said player is Kalu.
Kalu is expected to rejoin the rest of the squad on July 27 if his test returns negative. He is reported to have missed the team’s training sessions since the opening of camp for the club’s pre-season games.
The club, his friends and colleagues have wished him quick recovery.
