The criminal matter brought by the Rivers State Government against the former minister for tranportation Rotimi Amaechi and governorship candidate of the APC, Tonye Cole has been adjourned to the 19th of January 2023.
The Rivers State Government is asking the court to determine if the sales of critical assets of the state by the defendants was in line in line with due process.
The trial judge, Chiwendu Nworgu of the state high court adjourned the matter following the absence of the defendants in court.
Counsel to the Rivers State Government Alphonsus Sibi said they were not able to serve some of the parties involved in the party which was the major reason why the matter was adjourned.
