General Overseer of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has reacted to claims that the church recently sacked some of its pastors as a result of low income.
Oyedepo, during a sermon in the church described such claims as “Nonsense” stating that the church has never lacked money.
He said the pastors were sacked for being unfruitful, and that money was never the issue.
The clergyman, explained that when the church employed about 7,000 persons social media was dead and nobody reacted to it. He wondered why people reacted to the latter and not the former.
“We asked you to go because you are unfruitful. Unfruitful! Blatant failure. Doing what there? We have no patience with failure here.
“We have more employees in this organisation than most of the states. No one is owed a dime salary and we don’t borrow, we don’t beg. Ask our bank whether we take overdraft.
“We are covenant bound, working in the light of God’s word, enjoying an open Heaven,” he said.
